ATMA - Key Objectives

| 1. | Technology Dissemination | To strengthen the agricultural technology dissemination system so that improved technologies reach farmers in a timely and effective manner through a pluralistic and demand-driven extension system. |
| 2. | Farmer Empowerment | To empower farm families through formation of Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs), enabling collective decision-making, joint marketing, and group-based extension activities. |
| 3. | Bottom-up Planning | To develop a Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP) based on a participatory assessment of the district, identifying farmers' problems and technology gaps to guide extension priorities. |
| 4. | Convergence of Services | To integrate activities and resources of agriculture and allied departments (horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, soil conservation, forestry) through the ATMA platform. |
| 5. | Capacity Building | To build the capacity of extension functionaries and farm families through trainings, exposure visits, demonstrations, and farmer-to-farmer learning mechanisms. |
| 6. | Private Sector Linkages | To promote public-private-producer partnerships for improving access to inputs, credit, markets, and agri-services for farmers of Simdega district. |
| 7. | Farm Diversification | To promote farm diversification through introduction of new crops, horticultural crops, integrated farming systems, and allied activities like fishery, poultry, and goatry. |
| 8. | Sustainable Agriculture | To promote sustainable agricultural practices including organic farming, integrated nutrient management (INM), integrated pest management (IPM), and water-use efficiency. |
