Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) is a registered society functioning at the district level under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Jharkhand. ATMA was established as part of the Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reforms (ATMA) Scheme of the Government of India.
ATMA Simdega serves as the nodal agency for extension reforms and agricultural development in Simdega district. It coordinates the activities of various line departments related to agriculture and allied sectors to ensure integrated delivery of services to farmers.
The agency covers all 10 blocks of Simdega district - Simdega, Jaldega, Bolba, Kolebira, Kurdeg, Pakartanr, Bano, Thethaitangar, Palkot, and Bansjor - through a network of Block Agriculture Coordinators (BAC) and Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs).
