About PM-KISAN Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme launched on 24th February 2019. Under this scheme, an income support of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to all land-holding farmers' families across the country, subject to certain exclusion criteria.
The benefit is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The scheme is 100% funded by the Government of India.
Who is Eligible
- All landholding farmer families
- Farmers with cultivable land in their name
- Both rural and urban farmers
- Small and marginal farmers
- Farmers who complete e-KYC verification
Who is Excluded
- Current/former constitutional post holders
- Current/former Ministers, MPs, MLAs
- Government employees (Central/State)
- Income tax payers (last assessment year)
- Professionals (Doctors, CAs, Lawyers, Engineers)
- Pensioners receiving Rs 10,000+/month
Registration Process
