About NFSM
The National Food Security Mission (NFSM) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme launched in 2007-08 with the objective of increasing production of rice, wheat, pulses and coarse cereals through area expansion and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner.
In Simdega district, NFSM focuses primarily on paddy, maize, and pulses through demonstrations, seed distribution, and training programmes for farmers.

How to Apply / Avail Benefits
- Contact your Block Agriculture Coordinator (BAC) at the Block Agriculture Office.
- Submit application with land documents (khatiyan/deed) and Aadhaar card.
- Applications are processed on first-come-first-served basis, subject to availability.
- Priority given to small/marginal farmers and SC/ST farmers.
